Tomorrow I have a heaping handful of new Roots & Americana releases including Alejandro Escovedo, Dan Tyminski (AKA: the voice of George Clooney), Fayssoux Maclean (1st solo album from singer on early Emmylou Harris albums), Feufollet and The Detroit Cobras (early recordings from the 90’s just released, hear the Cobras tackle Bill Monroe!)
I’ll also play some music from a bunch of great artists coming to the Detroit area soon including:
Tab Benoit (7/26-Callahan’s in Auburn Hills)
The Del McCoury Band (8/1 at The Ark)
Justin Townes Earle (8/6 at The Majestic in Detroit opening for Lucero)

Also, I believe we will have tickets to give away to see former Byrd, Flying Burrito Brother and Desert Rose Band member, Chris Hillman at The Ark on Wednesday July 30th.
My longtime producer Andy has moved on to bigger and undoubtedly better things, but I am lucky to be joined this week by new producer, J.P. John Petalka. I am sort of embarrassed to have J.P. as my producer rather than in front of the microphone as he was one of my mentors in radio over at WSDS 1480 AM. Nevertheless, I am excited to have the old “SUDS Country” team back together. I am sure we will have some fun. Please tune in and tell your friends…
